Other episodes include sketch artists drawing contestants’ impressions of each other.

After finishing the book: So I finished the book and I thought it was a really enjoyable read! I loved the witty dialogues and watching the developement of the main characters Jessica and Lucius. I especially liked the development of the character Jessica. There was a part of me that was just really annoyed by him.

To be honest, I am not completely sure if this was just my reaction to him, or the reaction that Fantaskey wanted her readers to have.

Excerpt The undead can really screw up your senior year. Armed with newfound confidence and a copy of Growing Up Undead: The author must have redefined vampires if they can be born as one. Lots of authors have come up with ways to redefine vampires–everything from aliens among us to the blood-sucking fiends we all know so well. According to the author’s site, this novel has already gone into a second printing, so I continue to be in the minority with my aversion to vampires.

Maybe it’s a generational thing, because I know Mulluane will agree with me.

Are you sure you want to delete this answer? Yes Sorry, something has gone wrong. It’s such a fun read, isn’t it? I have yet to read it, but I’m assuming it’s of a similar to quality to Jessica’s Guide since it’s the same author. You could try Ellen Schreiber’s Vampire Kisses series. It’s not wonderful writing, but it’s kindda similar to JG and does involve vampires if you like that sortta thing.

Meg Cabot is a wonderful author. Her books have tons of humor and romance. An awesome series that might float your boat s the Mediator series. No vampires, but a kick butt heroine who can talk and fight with ghosts. And of course the year-dead hottie haunting her bed room. Also, the Princess Diaries is about a girl who finds out she is a princess at age 15 though just a regular human one, not a vampire one There is a book series called Demon Princess by Michelle Rowan which is a similar plot to JG’s, except the girl finds out she’s a demon princess, not a vampire one kindda duh from the title, no?

What would you do if a foreign exchange student shows up on your doorstep proclaiming that you are his bride to be? Personally, I wouldn’t mind. Lucius is handsome, smart, and mysterious. Sure, he’s a little eccentric, old-fashioned, and arrogant but hey, no one’s perfect. But for down-to-Earth Jessica she’d rather muck out barn stalls than suffer through a day with Lucius Needless to say Jessica learned to love Lucius.

He happens to be a powerful vampire king. Well, I liked the book. It’s funny, romantic, and unique. I especially liked Lucius letters and his biting wit. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone willing to give it a try. This book hit the spot I wanted it to.
